Telford firm to manufacture concrete telecoms chamber covers for Exascale’s Gigabit Telford Project

Exascale aims to create a supply chain to support local Telford business, whilst reducing their environmental impact.

Exascale a well known full fibre infrastructure builder and vertically integrated ISP, with a growing network in Telford and the wider West Midlands today has announced they’re working with telecoms materials startup Plura Innovations. A manufacture of telecoms chambers, ducting and concrete infill lids.

Exascale’s CEO Thomas Bibb, is very keen to work with smaller up and coming suppliers especially those in the local area. Growing together to prosper as an industry and a local community!

Plura Innovations advised Thomas, the steel work and soon the concrete pour of the chamber covers is manufactured and carried out right here in Telford by FSP (Fabweld Steel Products). Which is great news for Exascale’s ambitious Telford project!

Exascale’s relationship with Plura Innovations has been a collaborative one, working together to reduce Exascale’s environmental impact not only using local supply chains but by looking at alternative materials such as HDPE (recycled plastic) instead of virgin PVC materials for their spine and to the home & business ducting

Taking the local community on a journey to Gigabit Telford

Exascale’s journey is only just beginning, but as Exascale continue to grow and expand, they will look to work with more local suppliers and people as they progress towards 100% full fibre coverage in Telford & Wrekin.
