2.5Gb Broadband Price Drop: Now Just £40/Month

Telford, Shropshire, UK – Exascale, the Telford-based Gigabit Full Fibre network operator and ISP, today announced it is cutting the price of its 2.5Gb CityFibre full fibre broadband package from £45 to £40 per month, making one of the fastest multi-gig broadband packages in the UK more affordable for homes and businesses across CityFibre’s national network.
What’s Changing
The 2.5Gb full fibre package is part of Exascale’s CityFibre Multi-Gig range, delivered over CityFibre’s UK-wide full fibre network and backed by Exascale’s own infrastructure, including seven UK data centres and a top-ten UK internet peering ranking, to keep speeds fast and reliable from the home all the way to the wider internet.
The new £40 a month price applies to new and upgrading customers ordering the CityFibre 2.5Gb package, and reflects Exascale’s ongoing push to make ultrafast full fibre broadband more accessible as its network coverage grows through the CityFibre partnership.
Why It Matters
Multi-gig broadband UK-wide has typically carried a premium price tag, putting it out of reach for many households and small businesses searching for cheap 2.5Gb internet. By reducing the 2.5Gb package to £40 a month, Exascale is positioning full fibre speeds of up to 2.5Gbps as a realistic option for anyone with high-bandwidth needs from 4K/8K streaming and large file transfers to smart homes, gaming and remote working households with multiple devices online at once.
Thomas Bib, CEO at Exascale, said the company was built on owning and operating real infrastructure rather than reselling someone else’s network, and that this is what allows it to pass savings like this on to customers. He added that multi-gig broadband shouldn’t be a luxury tier, and that dropping the price of the 2.5Gb package to £40 a month puts genuinely future-proofed full fibre within reach of more homes and businesses across the CityFibre footprint.
Availability
The 2.5Gb CityFibre broadband package is available to homes and businesses within CityFibre’s UK coverage area, including full fibre broadband in Telford, Wolverhampton and surrounding regions. Customers can check availability and order using our CityFibre Checker
